1/700 USS West Virginia 1945 5772

Commissioned in December of 1923, USS West Virginia was the fourth of the Colorado-class Battleships. She was given hull number BB-48. She was stationed in the Pacific, notably in Battleship Row at Pearl Harbor. She took heavy damage from torpedoes from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, where she almost met her fate and sunk. However, she was refloated, and repaired to be sent back into combat in the Pacific Theater. This Trumpeter kit provides the option of waterline or full hull, and represents USS West Virginia in her 1945 fitting.
