Matte acrylic colors come in a water-based formula specially designed for airbrushing. The Model Air color range contains the most complete selection of military colors used over recent history, including WWI and WWII era to present day shades. Each color is based on extensive research by experts so as offer the modeler a wide variety of options when looking from high quality modeling supplies that will last!
Model Air can be used directly out of the bottle or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. We recommend priming the surface first, and then applying Model Air in several thin layers. The colors dry rapidly and form a homogenous film while preserving even the smallest detail of an intricate miniature. For airbrushing these colors, the air compressor pressure recommened is 15 - 20 PSI of 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can also be applied with a brush. We recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner for correct airbrush maintenance.
Safety: Model Air is a safe alternative to combustible, toxic paint. It's not flammable and contains no solvents which means it's safe for the air-quality too!
Packaging: Model Air is presented in bottles of 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz., with an eyedropper bottle to minimize the amount used, and so it can be preserved for a long time before and after use!
