The instructions specify Italeri paints, with any named Tamiya sprays shown separately. Store alternatives are provisional digital-color or manufacturer-chart comparisons, not exact equivalents. Color, sheen and metallic reflection can differ. All alternatives, finishing coats and supplies start unchecked. Select only the finishes for your chosen scheme. Separate varnish coats are applied over fully cured paint, never mixed into it; test paint and decal compatibility. Do not mix different brands or paint chemistries. Tamiya X/XF alternatives are alcohol-based acrylics; other bottle colors here are water-based acrylics. Tamiya TS paints are lacquer sprays. X-20A is only for the Tamiya X/XF bottles, not the water-based paints or TS sprays. Complete 24-page Italeri 4701 manual reviewed. The red Mefistofele body uses G 4605AP; Copper (L) has no manufacturer paint number printed. Preserve the separate aluminium, steel and brass effects. Superglue is specified for pins; plastic cement is for the marked plastic joints. No paint mixtures are specified. No full exact-paint default is available, so review and select the provisional options yourself.
