Default Moon type and yellow band

• Default: Moon type LUNA HUND, VIII/117 Panzerjäger Kompanie “Kampfgruppe Totenkopf”, Gelb 40. Step 43 specifies C305 GRAY FS36118 and C311 GRAY FS36622 as two-color camouflage.
• The yellow identification band is exactly C4 YELLOW 50% + C58 ORANGE YELLOW 50%. Mix equal parts. This same recipe appears for both Moon and Space builds. It is the only printed paint recipe; no extra proportions are inferred.
• C8 SILVER appears on V1 body fittings in step 17 and the Moon laser end in step 21. C10 COPPER is called out on the supplied stainless steel bars in final step 43. C116 RLM66 BLACK GRAY covers the foot/leg, waist, body, arm/hand, head and shoulder mechanisms and other marked details.

Alternative builds and markings

• Space Type SCHWARZER HUND: use C305 GRAY FS36118 with C308 GRAY FS36375 camouflage. Step 39 adds C61 BURNT IRON on the booster nozzle and C33 FLAT BLACK on the stabilizer. These three Space-specific paints start unchecked; the shared band still uses the equal C4/C58 mixture.
• The Space example is III/102 Panzerjäger Kompanie “Orthrus”, number 7, on the marking card. The manual’s step 43 illustration calls the Space box-art machine “39”. Both original reference labels are retained.
• Alternative Moon number 5, 22. Fallschirmjäger division Stabskompanie: the card describes a WHITE body with GREEN overpainting evoking a frog. It supplies no exact paint codes, finishes or mixing ratios for these colors. The yellow tint of the paper is not a paint reference.
• Alternative Moon Gelb 6, VIII/117 “Kampfgruppe Totenkopf”: the card describes PINK identification color. It supplies no exact code, finish or recipe. The companion Red 9 with yellow is mentioned in the story; no additional kit scheme or paint recipe is inferred.
• WHITE, GREEN and PINK remain visible as disabled reference cards. Their codes and store candidates are unresolved, so they are not purchasable selections. Choose and verify your own shade for those alternate finishes before buying.

Assembly choices, materials and supplies

• Choose the Moon or Space version before assembly. The full manual runs from steps 1–43 with variant-specific body, left arm, booster and stabilizer parts. The robot is explicitly unmanned; there is no pilot or pilot-paint list.
• The original says PC components cannot be painted or glued. Leave joints marked Do not cement free. Use plastic cement only for appropriate styrene joints; the original calls for instant adhesive on the specified W parts, rubber cables and stainless steel bars. The optional CA product is suitable for metal, rubber and hard plastics, as its product description states.
• Step 32 offers an optional chin guard. The step 43 detail suggestion uses a 0.3 mm × 45 mm metal-wire antenna, not supplied in the kit. It does not specify a new paint or coating. Drill only the holes called out for your chosen variant; the pin vise is compatible with 0.1–3.2 mm bits, but bits and antenna wire are separate.
• Tools, masking, decal solution and thinner are optional purchases. No clear-parts adhesive, pilot colors, primer, varnish or weathering paint is added as a kit requirement.

Paint families and finishes

• The 10 coded cards use exact Mr. Color products. The original’s selected Aqueous Hobby Color alternatives are retained below as printed. Where the manual gives no Aqueous code, none is added from a later chart.
• Mr. Color is a solvent-based acrylic resin paint in the lacquer family. C4 is gloss, C58/C116/C305/C308/C311 are semi-gloss, C33 is matt, and C8/C10/C61 are metallic. The optional T104 thinner is dedicated to Mr. Color; it is not offered for Aqueous paints.
• The source color names and ratios are preserved. Digital swatches are only previews; they do not establish a physically verified dried-paint match or reproduce metallic reflection. Out-of-stock paints remain visible, unchecked and disabled.
