Build This Model
The instructions specify Italeri paints, with any named Tamiya sprays shown separately. Store alternatives are provisional digital-color or manufacturer-chart comparisons, not exact equivalents. Color, sheen and metallic reflection can differ. All alternatives, finishing coats and supplies start unchecked. Select only the finishes for your chosen scheme. Separate varnish coats are applied over fully cured paint, never mixed into it; test paint and decal compatibility. Do not mix different brands or paint chemistries. Tamiya X/XF alternatives are alcohol-based acrylics; other bottle colors here are water-based acrylics. Tamiya TS paints are lacquer sprays. X-20A is only for the Tamiya X/XF bottles, not the water-based paints or TS sprays. Complete eight-page Italeri 3868 Timber Trailer manual reviewed, including the rear and side marking diagram. Italeri AP codes are retained alongside the manual's Model Master references: Red 1503, Black 1749, Silver 1546, White 1768 and Orange 1527. The manual leaves the Model Master references for dark gray and light gray as question marks, but provides Italeri 4754AP and 4765AP. The suggested natural sticks for a timber load are not included paint requirements. No paint mixtures are specified. No full exact-paint default is available, so review and select the provisional options yourself.
