1/35 M4 Sherman Early 35190
1/35 M4 Sherman Early 35190
The M4 represented here combines a welded upper hull with a cast turret and a Continental radial engine. Its 75 mm gun, three-piece transmission-cover option and vertical-volute suspension identify a different vehicle from the rounded, cast-hull M4A1 or later wide-track Shermans.

The Sherman family grew from a 1941 American medium-tank design that moved the main gun into a fully rotating turret. Production began in 1942, and the type became a central Allied armored vehicle. Its many versions reflected different hull-building methods and engine installations.
Tamiya’s marking sheets place this kit in Italy and France during 1944. They show how the basic Olive Drab finish could remain plain or receive field camouflage, with separate sand and red-brown options. Choosing the marking scheme before painting keeps the camouflage, dates and vehicle lettering together.
