Original paint choices, schemes, mixes and figures
Default scheme and paint family
Available Tamiya X/XF acrylic vehicle paints for Scheme A start selected. The ten vehicle source codes are X-2, X-7, X-10, X-18, XF-1, XF-52, XF-62, XF-64, XF-56 and XF-2. Availability determines which can be selected. Common vehicle paints stay selected when they also serve an optional figure or stowage role.
TS-5 Olive drab spray and XF-62 Olive drab are printed base alternatives. Choose one approach for the vehicle base; they are not a mixture. The TS spray alternative, figure/stowage-only colors and all tools and supplies start unchecked. The original gives X/XF codes without bottled chemistry; these exact-code store bottles are Tamiya acrylic. X-20A thinner is offered only for those acrylic bottles, never for TS aerosol.
All three original marking schemes
- Scheme A: H Co., 69th Tank Bttn., 6th Armored Div. December 1944 Ardenne. Winter white camouflage over olive drab; early drive sprocket. Base: TS-5 or XF-62. Add XF-2 white winter camouflage over the base.
- Scheme B: H Co., 756th Tank Bttn. February 1944 Germany. Date retained exactly as printed. Early or late drive sprocket. Base: TS-5 or XF-62. For this scheme, deselect the Scheme A-only XF-2 winter paint.
- Scheme C: 48th Tank Bttn., 14th Armored Div., 7th Army January 1945 France. Early or late drive sprocket. Base: TS-5 or XF-62. For this scheme, deselect the Scheme A-only XF-2 winter paint.
Both original 1:1 mixes
- X-10:1 + XF-64:1 (1:1). B22/B23 rear exhaust surfaces. Source page 4.
- XF-52:1 + XF-49:1 (1:1). Rifleman B W1 trousers and optional driver D21 uniform. Source pages 8, 10.
Each recipe keeps its two original equal-part ingredients. A disabled ingredient remains part of the recipe; obtain both before mixing. Selecting the other ingredient alone does not complete the mixture.

Tools, materials and selection
The instructions call for plastic cement, cutters, a modeling knife and tweezers. They explicitly allow the tracks to be cemented and painted with plastic-model materials. The supplied markings are water-slide decals. Optional brushes, sanding tools and masking tape support part preparation and painting; optional decal solution supports decal application. Every supply starts unchecked so you can add only what you need.
XF-10, XF-15, XF-49, XF-51, XF-57, XF-59 and XF-60 are optional figure/stowage-only additions here. XF-52 remains a vehicle selection even though it also joins XF-49 in the optional clothing mix. Each selected variant is added once even if used in several roles. Unavailable products remain disabled. Digital swatches do not establish dried hue, sheen, metallic effect or mixture results.
