Polar Lights POL991: Both assembly sheets and both box flats were reviewed. The four named base colors cover Grissom and the six optional registry decals. The source recommends an optional final clear coat but does not choose a sheen: choose gloss, satin or matte to taste, using a product compatible with the fully cured paints and testing first. No clear-coat product is preselected or represented as a manufacturer-specified finish. Robin Egg Blue is a visibly labeled approximate light cyan-blue candidate. Optional lighting is simulated in the box art, not an included paint or LED requirement. The base has no separate paint callout. Source default: U.S.S. Grissom NCC-638, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, with common assembly details. Original recommendations stay visible. Every approximate store suggestion starts unchecked and is not a manufacturer-listed equivalent or physically validated color match. Candidate sheen, chemistry and application may differ; use each product only with its own compatible materials and never mix paint systems. All tools and thinning supplies are unchecked purchase options. Use each thinner or medium only with its named paint family. Out-of-stock items stay disabled; missing digital color data shows Color unavailable. Digital previews are approximate. Follow the original diagrams for paint placement and mixes. No optional AK 3rd Generation (AK3G) thinner recommendation has been verified for this guide. RC701 lacquer thinner and Tamiya X20A are not recommended for the AK3G paints; follow the AK3G manufacturer directions.
