Commissioned in September of 1937, USS Yorktown (CV-5) was the lead of the three Yorktown-class Aircraft Carriers built for the United States Navy prior to World War II, and was sunk at the Battle of Midway in June of 1942, this Academy kit is a great presentation of the USS Yorktown as seen at the Battle of Midway, prior to becoming incapacitated, and is a fine addition to any fleet collection!
