Original choices and default scheme

Version A, C-47A, 94th Squadron, 439th TCG, USAF, June 1944 (source caption); all approximate store candidates remain unchecked.

Version A is captioned C-47A, 94th Squadron, 439th TCG, USAF, June 1944. Version B is captioned C-47A, MK III, 271th Squadron, RAF, Normandy 1944. These are the original printed captions.

Both schemes use Flat Olive Drab US Army upper surfaces and Flat Dark Ghost Gray undersides, with Flat Black / Flat White invasion stripes. The printed stripe widths are 9.5 mm on the wings and 8.5 mm on the fuselage. Use each original view for the different stripe coverage and markings.

Both schemes specify Gloss Yellow propeller tips, Gloss Red port navigation lights and Gloss Green starboard navigation lights. Version B also explicitly marks the engine-front details Flat Black.

Two seated crew figures are supplied: Flat Military Brown clothing and Flat Leather boots. The same leather color is called out for crew seats and passenger benches. No additional flesh-paint requirement is printed.

Step 5 shows alternative cargo-door positions. Part 58C is for Version A only and uses Flat Gun Metal. Flat Dark Gull Gray appears in the color key without an assembly or marking application callout and remains an unchecked listed option.

Keep the printed 1734 Flat Green Zinc Chrom / FS 33481 and 1741 Flat Dark Ghost Gray / FS 35237 identities together as source conflicts. No exact replacement is selected for either. Model Master 1584 Flat Chromate has no printed FS or Italeri Acrylicpaint code; neither 1184 nor 1734 resolves it.

All 15 printed Italeri Acrylicpaint alternatives are retained separately. Model Master 1402 Flat Steel remains a source reference. No mixtures are specified.

Each selected variant is added once even if it serves more than one source role. Optional tools and supplies start unchecked. Use each thinner only with its named paint family. Each optional thinner is labelled for its compatible paint family. Follow that label and do not mix paint families. Sprays need no added thinner. Digital swatches are browsing aids and do not establish dried hue, sheen, metallic effect or a successful mixture. Unavailable products remain disabled.
