Event Details — Sealed Deck Tournament (Casual):
Play, plan, and battle as a team!
**The Two-Headed Giant format is like tandem sky-diving. As long as one player knows what is going on, the other can come along for the ride.** Each two-player teams shares a starting 30 life and takes their turn simultaneously.
It's great for these groups: buddies, couples, and parent/kid combos.
Upon entry, each team will receive two Prerelease Kits. These kits include 6 packs and an exclusive Prerelease Promo Card, allowing you to get a sneak peek at the new set before it's officially released. And you keep all the cards!
Test your deck-building skills by constructing two 40-card decks from the contents of your and your partner’s Prerelease Kit. You'll use these decks to compete in a friendly yet competitive Sealed Deck tournament.
You’ll play 3 best-of-one matches with a 50 minute match timer. The “Swiss” tournament structure means you’ll be paired against players with the same number of wins so far each round.

Before you play…
There are a few things you need to prepare beforehand:
- Our community is super friendly to newer players, but this is not a learn-to-play event. Please complete the excellent, free tutorial on Magic Arena to learn the basics so you can hit the ground running!
- The Wizards Companion App (or the email address of your Wizards account). Play Arena? Great! Just use the email you signed up with!
- Your event ticket. We recommend buying in advance; we have limited space and pre-registering guarantees your seat. Can't make it? You can get a refund in store credit.
Cancellations/No-Shows
- Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the event begins. If you are late you risk forfeiting your spot to waitlisted participants.
- If after purchasing a ticket you can no longer make the event, please cancel your ticket so that we can bring someone in off the waitlist!
- Cancelled / no-show tickets will be refunded in store credit only via digital gift card minus processing fees, and forfeit all promos and prizes.
