Embers Dragons
Born from violent combustions, Embers Dragons are easily distinguished by their ash-speckled scales. Each dragon rules over its unique domain: Inra of the seas, emerging from hydrothermal vents; Nali of the flame, born within molten rock; Bacu of the earth, originating from explosive decaying flora; Sein of the skies, brought to life by lightning; and Cazn of the rift, formed from the violent tearing of space and time.
Inra dragon eggs are encased in collagen pouches and laid in one of the most extreme environments imaginable—hydrothermal vents. These vents, formed by shifting tectonic plates or leaking planar energy, expel super-heated, mineral-rich water that can exceed 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Brooding Inra dragons stay near the vents for years, waiting for their hatchlings to tear through the egg case. Once the young wyrm emerges, the adult Inra returns to its lair, leaving the hatchling to grow independently, preying on the few species that survive in the vent's hostile environment.
