Learn to Play: Ham Helsing with Justin and Anne-Marie De Witt
Our Learn to Play game for July is Ham Helsing, a cooperative adventure game from Fireside Games that combines comic book charm, clever card upgrades, and plenty of monster smashing action.
Players take on the roles of Ham, Ronin, Malcom, and Lobos as they race to defend Mud Canyon from endless waves of minions. Using a unique card crafting system with transparent upgrade cards, you'll strengthen your abilities, improve your deck, and work together to stop the Villain before it's too late.
As a special treat, Fireside Games founders Justin and Anne-Marie De Witt will be joining us in person on July 1 to teach games and meet the LionHeart community. The husband and wife team founded Fireside Games in Austin in 2007 and have spent nearly two decades creating memorable tabletop experiences for families and friends around the world.
Justin is best known as the designer of Castle Panic, one of the most beloved cooperative board games of the past two decades. Together, Justin and Anne-Marie have helped grow Fireside Games into one of Texas's most respected independent board game publishers, known for approachable games that bring people together around the table.
As an added bonus, they'll also be bringing a brand new game that has not yet been released, giving attendees a chance to get an early look at what's coming next from Fireside Games.
