Oh Captain, My Captain! is a short-form worldbuilding role-playing game that dives into themes of heroism and the often complicated bonds we form with those we look up to. Designed to be approachable for newcomers and rewarding for seasoned role-players, the game delivers rich, memorable stories in just 30 minutes.

Players take turns drawing cards that prompt open-ended questions. Each response reveals something new about their character, the world they inhabit, their legendary captain, and the layered relationship between them. As the story unfolds, players weave their answers into a shared narrative, culminating in one of three powerful final questions that bring the game to a close. These endings can be tailored to fit the group’s desired tone—from hopeful to bittersweet.
