Construction and optional painting

The PS kit includes red-plated shell parts, clear blue effects and marking stickers. Trim the marked under gates carefully. The manual warns that rubbing or solvents can remove the plating, so take care when painting and panel lining around those parts.

Build the Escutcheon shield, beam rifle and two beam sabers, then choose the shield or Bit-on form arrangement. The Action Base 4 and Weapon Display Bases shown in the instructions are sold separately. Bandai recommends water-based paint; the seven recipes include the sensor's Green, Emerald Green, Silver and Bright Blue blend. The red recipe prints Red madder in English and Monza Red in Japanese.

Materials in the parts list: PS: all listed runners; Red-plated PS: F3 runner; Clear blue PS: G and SB-8 runners.

Legs/waist: printed English Red madder corresponds to printed Japanese Monza Red. Sensor: printed English Bright blue corresponds to printed Japanese Indy Blue.

The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.

Complete original painting recipes

7 printed roles use 14 distinct named ingredients. 7 roles contain mixtures; 0 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

2. Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. Neutral Grey is a generic gray approximation; it does not define the distinct named Neutral Gray source as an identical formulation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
3. Navy Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Dark Blue AK11181. Dark Blue has a dark navy-blue chart sample. It is a hue-family approximation, distinct from the near-black Midnight Blue candidate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

7. Midnight Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Strong Dark Blue AK11187. Strong Dark Blue has a very dark, near-black blue chart sample. It is an approximation to the Midnight Blue hue, distinct from Navy Blue; no manufacturer crosswalk is claimed. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

14. Red madder (Japanese: Monza Red). No supported candidate is chosen for the original Red madder / Monza Red shade.

Do not paint materials the original warns against painting.
