Construction and optional painting

MG Barbatos uses PS runners, including silver-plated parts, gold parts and clear pink parts. Trim the marked under gates carefully. The manual warns that rubbing and solvents can remove plating, so take care when painting or panel lining. Two supplied sticker sheets provide the markings.

The kit includes the sword, 300 mm smooth-bore gun, mace, interchangeable hands and Mikazuki Augus figures. Follow the illustrated weapon storage, extension and cockpit-opening steps. The nineteen recipes include ten for Mikazuki; the gold finish requires a Silver undercoat followed by Clear Yellow 70% and Clear Orange 30%.

Bandai recommends water-based paint. The panel-lining tip suggests a separately sold Gundam Marker or similar without a color or product code. In the figure recipes, RLM75 Gray is printed alongside the Japanese name RLM75 Gray Violet; the printed English Field Gray (1) and Field Gray (2) names are retained as separate colors.

Materials in the parts list: PS: all listed runners; Silver-plated PS: D1 runner; Gold PS: D2 runner; Clear pink PS: H runner.

Printed English Bright blue appears with Japanese Indy Blue; Intermediate blue with Medium Blue; Field gray (2) with Olive Drab; Field gray (1) with Dark Gray. Preserve both language labels as needed without inferring paint codes.

The figure light-gray recipe prints English RLM75 gray with Japanese RLM75 Gray Violet.

The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.

Complete original painting recipes

19 printed roles use 25 distinct named ingredients. 15 roles contain mixtures; 1 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.
