Construction and optional painting

This Wing Gundam Ver.Ka includes a Buster Rifle with energy packs, a shield, a beam saber and standing and seated Heero figures. The wing and leg assemblies support the Bird Mode transformation. PS outer parts, ABS frame parts and PE polycaps are identified in the parts list; take care to keep the moving joints free.

The supplied markings combine color and marking stickers with dry-transfer Gundam Decals. Cut out a dry transfer, position it securely and rub it down with a rounded tip. Fine tweezers and a rounded burnishing tool can help with this optional detailing. Bandai recommends water-based paint; the color chart supplies nine model recipes but no separate Heero figure palette.

Materials in the parts list: PS runners A, B, C1, C2, D, G, H, I, J, K and SB4; ABS runners E and F; PE PC-120 Plus polycaps.

The original recommends water-based paint and prints legacy Gundam Color alternatives for some complete recipes. Preserve those named and numbered alternatives as shown below. The base recipe ingredients have no printed H/C product numbers; no modern paint-code equivalence is assumed.

Complete original painting recipes

9 printed roles use 15 distinct named ingredients. 8 roles contain mixtures; 0 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

1. White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic White AK11001. White is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
2. Cobalt Blue. AK11201 Cobalt Blue is explicitly in the metallic range. The source ordinary Cobalt Blue does not establish a metallic effect, so that candidate is rejected.
3. Fluorescent Pink. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Flourescent Magenta AK11068. Fluorescent Magenta offers a pink-magenta fluorescent approximation. The primary manufacturer identifies its fluorescent semi-transparent resin; its hue and fluorescence strength may differ. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: fluorescent.
4. Neutral Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. The descriptive Neutral Grey candidate supports a neutral-gray approximation. Its bottle may also serve generic Gray while both ingredient names remain separate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

10. Monza Red. No independently supported water-based Monza Red candidate is established. Preserve the source name and any bilingual Monza Red / Red Madder note without inventing code equivalence.
11. Fluorescent Orange. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Fluorescent Orange AK11081. The candidate retains both orange hue and fluorescent behavior. White substrate is the paint manufacturer’s application recommendation, not an additional source ingredient. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: fluorescent.
