Original painting recipes, materials and builder choices
Construction and optional painting
Banshee Norn includes the Beam Magnum and revolving launcher, beam sabers, shield with Armed Armor DE, Armed Armor XC backpack parts and a Riddhe Marcenas figure. Follow the undergate and joint-movement checks closely, then use the separate transformation sequence to switch between Unicorn and Destroy modes. Bandai advises against painting the ABS parts, including the clear-orange A1 runner.
The supplied Realistic Decal sheet uses self-adhesive stickers. For optional painting, keep the two gold finishes as separate layers: gold first, then the specified clear-color coat. The figure has seven named color recipes. Model nippers and careful sticker placement are the main assembly needs; tweezers are helpful. Action Base 2 or 5 is sold separately.
Materials in the parts list: PS runners C, D1, E1, F, H, I1, J, K, L1, L2, M, O, P, Q and SB-12; ABS runners A1, G and N1; ABS/PP B Advanced MS Joint runner.
The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.

17 printed roles use 20 distinct named ingredients. 17 roles contain mixtures; 2 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

Named ingredients and optional store candidates
16 mapped purchase cards and 4 disabled ingredient references cover all 20 named ingredients. Mapped cards represent 16 unique paint variants. Source-role counts are not purchase quantities. Each selected variant is added once, even if chosen for more than one source ingredient.
- Bright Blue (Indy Blue). The original bilingual label combines Bright Blue and Indy Blue. Their intended formulation is unresolved; the separate generic Bright Blue candidate is not silently applied.
- Cobalt Blue. AK11201 Cobalt Blue is explicitly in the metallic range. The source ordinary Cobalt Blue does not establish a metallic effect, so that candidate is rejected.
- Black. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Black AK11029. Black is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Navy Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Dark Blue AK11181. Dark Blue has a dark navy-blue chart sample. It is a hue-family approximation, distinct from the near-black Midnight Blue candidate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic White AK11001. White is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Mahogany. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Mahogany Brown AK11106. Mahogany Brown supplies a named reddish wood-brown approximation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. Neutral Grey is a generic gray approximation; it does not define the distinct named Neutral Gray source as an identical formulation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Purple. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Purple AK11073. Purple is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Blue Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Blue Grey AK11011. Blue Grey supplies a named blue-gray approximation; exact blue/gray balance is untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Green. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Deep Green AK11142. Deep Green supplies a generic opaque green approximation, separate from the Dark Green and special named green ingredients. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Khaki. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic British Khaki AK11127. British Khaki supplies a khaki-brown hue approximation. The source does not specify a British uniform standard. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Gold. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Gold AK11191. Gold is a named metallic water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: metallic.
- Clear Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Clear Yellow AK11217. Clear Yellow is a named transparent water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: transparent.
- Clear Orange. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Clear Orange AK11218. Clear Orange is a named transparent water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: transparent.
- Clear. This is a colorless transparent ingredient mixed into the Banshee gold topcoat. No supported colorless paint in the selected family was established; opaque paint, thinner, glaze or varnish is not silently substituted.
- Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Yellow AK11044. Yellow is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Pale Brown. AK11100 Light Brown has a saturated orange-ochre manufacturer/catalog sample, insufficient to establish the source Pale Brown. No defensible water-based variant is chosen.
- Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Deep Blue AK11182. Deep Blue supplies an opaque blue candidate, with untested depth and pigment strength. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Orange Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Golden Yellow AK11041. Golden Yellow supplies a warm yellow-orange approximation, distinct from Orange and Yellow. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Violet. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Deep Violet AK11072. Violet is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
Optional supplies are recommendations for the tasks described above, not manufacturer-required purchases. The AK 3GEN thinner applies only to the AK 3GEN candidates. Do not paint materials the original warns against painting. Digital color squares are browsing aids; they do not prove dried color, pigment strength, sheen, metallic reflection, transparency or a successful mixture.
