Construction and optional painting
Build Bocata’s Gelgoog with the backpack, Beam Spray Gun and beam saber. Follow the hand options and original wire detail, keeping the PVC wire separate from the plastic parts. Apply the supplied stickers at the indicated steps. Action Base 7 is sold separately.
Bandai recommends water-based paint. Preserve the nine optional recipes, including the numbered IJA Green (2) and IJA Gray (2) ingredients. Bright Blue is paired with Japanese Indy Blue, and Bright Green with Daytona Green. The blue-green sensor heading says Head sensor in English and chest sensor in Japanese; follow your kit’s diagram while retaining both labels.
Materials in the parts list: PS parts and beam saber; PVC wire.
Bright Blue (English) / Indy Blue (Japanese), 15% in Body dark blue: unresolved hue.
IJA Green (English) / 陸軍色(暗緑色)(2) (Japanese); retain (2).
IJA Gray (English) / 明灰白色(2) (Japanese); retain (2).
Bright Green (English) / Daytona Green (Japanese).
RLM75 Gray (English) / RLM75 Gray-Violet (Japanese).
Sensor role: Head sensor in English / chest sensor in Japanese. Neither is silently corrected.
Intermediate Blue is the printed English name where bilingual; Japanese ミディアムブルー is Medium Blue. This name pair does not establish equivalence to any modern paint called Medium Blue.
The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.

9 printed roles use 21 distinct named ingredients. 9 roles contain mixtures; 0 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

Named ingredients and optional store candidates
15 mapped purchase cards and 6 disabled ingredient references cover all 21 named ingredients. Mapped cards represent 15 unique paint variants. Source-role counts are not purchase quantities. Each selected variant is added once, even if chosen for more than one source ingredient.
- White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic White AK11001. White is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. Neutral Grey is a generic gray approximation; it does not define the distinct named Neutral Gray source as an identical formulation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Intermediate Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Intermediate Blue AK11163. Manufacturer Intermediate Blue is a muted gray-blue candidate, supported by its English name and actual current catalog sample. The original pairs English Intermediate Blue with Japanese Medium Blue; both labels remain visible. This uncalibrated approximation is separate from the unsupported dark saturated AK11184 Medium Blue product. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Navy Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Dark Blue AK11181. Dark Blue has a dark navy-blue chart sample. It is a hue-family approximation, distinct from the near-black Midnight Blue candidate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Red. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Matt Red AK11092. Matt Red supplies an opaque red candidate; matte describes the candidate, not a proven source finish. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Bright Blue. The original pairs Bright Blue with Japanese Indy Blue. A matching hue is not established; a light-cyan candidate is not used.
- IJA Green (2). Numbered IJA Green (2) remains distinct; no exact color standard or current matching hue is established.
- IJA Gray (2). Numbered IJA Gray (2) remains unresolved; IJA and IJN grays are not interchanged.
- RLM75 Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic RLM 75 AK11826. Manufacturer identifies AK11826 as RLM 75; source spelling retained and formulation remains approximate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Khaki. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic British Khaki AK11127. British Khaki supplies a khaki-brown hue approximation. The source does not specify a British uniform standard. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

- Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Deep Blue AK11182. Deep Blue supplies an opaque blue candidate, with untested depth and pigment strength. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

Optional supplies are recommendations for the tasks described above, not manufacturer-required purchases. The AK 3GEN thinner applies only to the AK 3GEN candidates. Do not paint materials the original warns against painting. Digital color squares are browsing aids; they do not prove dried color, pigment strength, sheen, metallic reflection, transparency or a successful mixture.
