14 original source colors are preserved below. Store candidates identify the chosen paint family; colors without a suitable product remain as source references.

Version A and Version B painting

• The complete 12-page Revision 1 manual, document 842090762, includes steps 1–16 and both final painting/decal sheets. Version A uses Tamiya TS-20 Metallic Green for the cab/body. Version B uses Tamiya TS-26 Pure White. Choose one body scheme; TS-20 is the default and TS-26 starts unchecked.
• The assembly Gloss White 4696AP, FS17875 is a separate requirement from the Version B TS-26 body color. It paints the marked detail at step 4 and engine fan/accessory areas at step 5. Keep both original references even when building the white version.
• The final Version A and B sheets both add F Gunship Gray 4752AP, FS36118 and Semi-Gloss Insignia Red, FS21136. The red is a Federal Standard color reference for the frame/chassis with no paint brand or commercial product code; step 1 sends the builder to the final color plate. It remains a disabled reference because no defensible exact-finish product is selected.
• Alternative nationality decals and license-plate templates are retained on both final sheets. Use the selected version’s front, side and rear views and the final TIR decal placement. The original does not print a paint mixture or ratio.

Engine, cab and clear-part details

• The full A–J assembly legend covers chassis fittings, engine, wheel groups and cab interior. Flat Rust 4675AP is used on exhaust/manifold pipes; Flat Gun Metal 4681AP is used on the engine body and marked details; Gloss Light Blue 4650AP covers the marked engine bank/cover assemblies.
• Flat Gull Gray 4763AP is explicitly printed with FS36622 in this manual and used on cab interior areas, seats, floor, shelving and upper interior. Preserve that literal pairing; it differs from older Model Master Acryl 4763 associated with FS36440 in other kits.
• Paint the front turn-signal clear parts 186F/189F and rear clear-light part 135F from the inside as instructed. The source calls for Gloss Orange 4682AP and Gloss Red 4605AP; it does not name transparent paints for those roles.
• Keep joints or movable parts unglued where the original indicates. Steps 9–12 cover cab opening, glazing, lights, mirrors and side steps; steps 15–16 complete cargo box, canvas and spare wheel. There are no figures or crew in the parts inventory or assembly.

Paint family, finish and optional supplies

• TS-20 and TS-26 are exact Tamiya TS aerosol references. They are synthetic lacquer sprays; normal aerosol use needs no separate thinner. TS-20 is described here only as metallic because primary regional descriptions disagree on its gloss versus semi-gloss sheen; the kit itself prints Metallic Green without a sheen.
• All Italeri-source store candidates are approximate and start unchecked. Source names/codes and FS references remain distinct from candidate names. For example, the manufacturer’s approximate conversion for Flat Rust 4675AP is Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red; this does not rename the source color.
• Use X-20A for Tamiya X/XF acrylic candidates, Vallejo thinner for Model Air and AK 3GEN thinner for the AK FS36622 candidate. These are different chemistries from the TS body sprays. Allow each layer to cure and test the chosen paint/decal stack.
• Cement, cutters, knife, sanding, detail brushes, masking, clear-parts glue, decal solution and the relevant thinners are optional purchases and start unchecked. No guessed primer, varnish or flattening recipe is added for FS21136.
