Original palette, marking schemes and builder choices

Scheme A and Scheme B

Scheme A is US Army 03607 in overall Olive Drab(2). Its 12 requirements include the shared interior and detail paints. Available exact Mr. Color products for this scheme start selected.
Scheme B is US Army 2105 in Olive Drab(2), Brown and Forest Green camouflage. It adds H310 / C310 Brown and H309 / C309 Forest Green to the shared palette. These two colors start unchecked.
The yellow band and yellow rotor-tip marks are supplied decals 5 and 24. The original gives no yellow paint requirement for them. Use each scheme’s diagrams for exact placement.

Original paint families and Clear Green

Each Aqueous Hobby Color H-code and paired Mr.Color C-code names an alternative paint family for one color requirement. The purchase defaults use Mr. Color C-series lacquer; the Aqueous alternatives and all printed cross-reference cells are preserved below.
Clear Green is printed as H94. Its Mr.Color cell is blank. The same original table prints Acrysion N94, Vallejo 936 and Tamiya X25; Model Master and Humbrol cells show a dash. These are literal reference cells, not new H/C pairings.
For that Clear Green requirement, the Tamiya X-25 acrylic card is an approximate different-family option and starts unchecked. Tamiya identifies X-25 as transparent gloss green for effects such as aircraft lights. The source does not specify a Tamiya chemistry; the offered product is the acrylic family. No physical shade equivalence is claimed.
The printed Vallejo and Humbrol columns do not specify a paint line. Their codes are preserved without inventing prefixes or chemistry. A dash or blank is not an extra paint code.

Assembly, materials and optional supplies

The complete original includes the cover, parts map, cockpit/cabin, engine, fuselage, doors, landing skids, rotor, final assembly and mask placement, followed by both painting faces. Interior/detail colors are part of the full palette even when they are hidden after assembly.
The exact 05111 parts inventory includes plastic and clear parts, Photo Etched A, die-cut masks and waterslide decals. The original indicates plastic cement and cyanoacrylate at the appropriate joints. Do not treat metal photo-etched parts as styrene cement joints.
This package has no pilot or crew figures and no gunship weapon sprues. It is the UH-1B Huey 05111 original; no figures, armament paints or supplement from a related release have been added.
No paint mixtures or mixing ratios are printed in this complete package. Retain metallic effects for Silver, Burnt Iron and Steel, transparent finishes for Clear Red/Clear Green, and matt Flat Black.

Exciting news for modelers – Trumpeter has released a brand-new 1/35 scale UH-1B, and I had the chance to get my hands on it recently (thank you, LionHeart Hobby!). After a closer look, I can confidently say this kit is a strong addition to their lineup. Here’s a quick overview of what to expect.
