Original painting recipes, materials and builder choices
Construction and optional painting
Follow the complete construction manual for both 00 Gundam and 0 Raiser, including the spring-loaded joints, head LED, GN Drives, docking and landing gear. The equipment includes GN Swords II and III, beam sabers, shields, GN missiles, missile units and GN condensers. A Phillips screwdriver is required; the manual also shows nippers, tweezers and scissors.
The original inventory lists two LR41 test batteries for the head LED and two CR2032 test batteries for the GN Drives. Follow the battery and screw steps in your included manual. Apply the color and marking stickers, hologram and rubber sheets, and dry-transfer Gundam decals by their separate methods. The separately identified first-purchase 2-Way Stand bonus is not promised with current stock.
The complete 24-role optional palette includes 16 roles for Setsuna’s uniform and pilot suit and Saji’s pilot suit. Keep the Clear 70% dilution in both transparent-color recipes and every small addition. Bandai recommends water-based paint and advises against painting ABS. Where a plated S part fits too tightly, the manual calls for removing plating only at the mating area.
Materials in the parts list: PS parts, including plated S parts and LED unit casing; ABS frame and GN Drive parts; PE U and OU polycaps; PC GN Drive parts; EVAC hologram sheets; PUR rubber stickers; Metal springs, bolts, nuts and screws.
All 24 recipes are printed as uncoded Japanese color names.
Clear 70% + Clear Blue 30% and Clear 70% + Clear Green 30% are mixtures with clear medium; do not omit the clear component or turn them into sequential coats.
Figure recipes cover the three illustrated outfits; shared roles remain single literal source roles.
Phillips screwdriver for screw assembly: Use a Phillips screwdriver that fits the supplied screws. No store product or bit size is chosen. Reference only; no purchase option is selected.
Scissors for the original sheet-cutting steps: The original lists scissors for cutting the supplied sheets. No suitable store product is chosen. Reference only; no purchase option is selected.
The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.
Complete original painting recipes
24 printed roles use 20 distinct named ingredients. 18 roles contain mixtures; 0 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

Named ingredients and optional store candidates
14 mapped purchase cards and 6 disabled ingredient references cover all 20 named ingredients. Mapped cards represent 14 unique paint variants. Source-role counts are not purchase quantities. Each selected variant is added once, even if chosen for more than one source ingredient.
- White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic White AK11001. White is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Navy Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Dark Blue AK11181. Dark Blue has a dark navy-blue chart sample. It is a hue-family approximation, distinct from the near-black Midnight Blue candidate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Cobalt Blue. No ordinary opaque Cobalt Blue match is chosen. A metallic paint with the same name would change the effect.
- Sky Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Sky Blue AK11175. Same descriptive Sky Blue name supports a pale blue candidate. Separate Light Blue ingredients are retained even when sharing this bottle. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Deep Blue AK11182. Deep Blue supplies an opaque blue candidate, with untested depth and pigment strength. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Monza Red. No independently supported water-based Monza Red candidate is established. Preserve the source name and any bilingual Monza Red / Red Madder note without inventing code equivalence.
- Neutral Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. The descriptive Neutral Grey candidate supports a neutral-gray approximation. Its bottle may also serve generic Gray while both ingredient names remain separate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Yellow AK11044. Yellow is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Orange Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Golden Yellow AK11041. Golden Yellow supplies a warm yellow-orange approximation, distinct from Orange and Yellow. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Midnight Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Strong Dark Blue AK11187. Strong Dark Blue has a very dark, near-black blue chart sample. It is an approximation to the Midnight Blue hue, distinct from Navy Blue; no manufacturer crosswalk is claimed. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Clear. Colorless transparent paint ingredient; no compatible colorless mixing paint is established. Thinner, glaze and varnish are not substituted.
- Clear Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Clear Blue AK11214. Clear Blue is a named transparent water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: transparent.
- Clear Green. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Clear Green AK11216. Clear Green is a named transparent water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: transparent.
- Black. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Black AK11029. Black is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Flesh. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Basic Skin Tone AK11052. Basic Skin Tone supplies a generic flesh-color approximation. No measured likeness or skin tone is claimed. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Indy Blue. No independently supported water-based Indy Blue hue/formulation is established. A similarly named blue or inferred H/C code is not used.
- Purple. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Purple AK11073. Purple is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Mahogany. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Mahogany Brown AK11106. Mahogany Brown supplies a named reddish wood-brown approximation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
- Daytona Green. No independently supported water-based Daytona Green formulation is established. An ordinary green name is insufficient to select a specific candidate.
- Khaki Green. No candidate was established that resolves this source Khaki Green without imposing a more specific military standard. It remains distinct from Khaki and ordinary Green.
Optional supplies are recommendations for the tasks described above, not manufacturer-required purchases. The AK 3GEN thinner applies only to the AK 3GEN candidates. Do not paint materials the original warns against painting. Digital color squares are browsing aids; they do not prove dried color, pigment strength, sheen, metallic reflection, transparency or a successful mixture.
