Construction and optional painting

Painting is optional. Use the supplied marking stickers at the indicated locations; extra stickers may be placed according to preference. The clear-blue and clear-pink runner parts are PS.

Keep the black and gray painting roles distinct. The original recommends water-based paint.

Materials in the parts list: PS.

The original Japanese Dark Gray (ダークグレー) is paired with printed English Field Gray (1). This named ingredient remains unresolved with no chosen store match or inferred numerical paint code.

The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.

Complete original painting recipes

7 printed roles use 11 distinct named ingredients. 4 roles contain mixtures; 0 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

Named ingredients and optional store candidates

9 mapped purchase cards and 2 disabled ingredient references cover all 11 named ingredients. Mapped cards represent 9 unique paint variants. Source-role counts are not purchase quantities. Each selected variant is added once, even if chosen for more than one source ingredient.

1. Off White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Offwhite AK11002. Offwhite is an opaque warm off-white candidate supported by the manufacturer chart and current bottle/sample photos. Original undertone and dried match remain untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
2. White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic White AK11001. AK11001 has a matching opaque color-family sample in the manufacturer chart and current product photos. It is an approximate candidate; source formulation, pigment strength and dried appearance remain untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
3. Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Deep Blue AK11182. Deep Blue supplies an opaque blue candidate, with untested depth and pigment strength. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
4. Cobalt Blue. AK11201 Cobalt Blue is explicitly in the metallic range. The source ordinary Cobalt Blue does not establish a metallic effect, so that candidate is rejected.
5. Sky Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Sky Blue AK11175. AK11175 Sky Blue has a light cyan-blue manufacturer-chart and current catalog sample. This is an approximate hue candidate with untested source pigment strength and dried appearance. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
6. Dark Gray (ダークグレー). The paired original labels or named identity remain unresolved. No equivalence to a current store paint or numbered color is assumed.
7. Mahogany. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Mahogany Brown AK11106. Mahogany Brown supplies a named reddish wood-brown approximation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
8. Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Yellow AK11044. AK11044 has a matching opaque color-family sample in the manufacturer chart and current product photos. It is an approximate candidate; source formulation, pigment strength and dried appearance remain untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
9. Red. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Matt Red AK11092. Matt Red supplies an opaque red candidate; matte describes the candidate, not a proven source finish. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
10. Neutral Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. The descriptive Neutral Grey candidate supports a neutral-gray approximation. Its bottle may also serve generic Gray while both ingredient names remain separate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
11. Black. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Black AK11029. AK11029 has a matching opaque color-family sample in the manufacturer chart and current product photos. It is an approximate candidate; source formulation, pigment strength and dried appearance remain untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

Optional supplies are recommendations for the tasks described above, not manufacturer-required purchases. The AK 3GEN thinner applies only to the AK 3GEN candidates. Do not paint materials the original warns against painting. Digital color squares are browsing aids; they do not prove dried color, pigment strength, sheen, metallic reflection, transparency or a successful mixture.
