Construction and optional painting

Painting is optional. Follow the binder, booster, stand and mobile-armor conversion steps; preserve moving joints and the fit of removable parts. Use the supplied sticker sheet as shown.

The arms, shins and booster recipe contains Light Blue / Mizu-iro 20%. The joint recipe uses Black 5%. The binder recipe retains separate small amounts of Purple and Indy Blue.

Materials in the parts list: PS; ABS; PE.

The original historical alternative is Gundam Color Green 18. A secondary Mech9 translation says Green 19; the original Green 18 is retained and neither is assigned a modern equivalent. Light Blue / Mizu-iro is retained as printed, without assuming an Aotake or current numbered-paint equivalence.

The original recommends water-based paint and prints legacy Gundam Color alternatives for some complete recipes. Preserve those named and numbered alternatives as shown below. The base recipe ingredients have no printed H/C product numbers; no modern paint-code equivalence is assumed.

Complete original painting recipes

6 printed roles use 13 distinct named ingredients. 5 roles contain mixtures; 0 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

Named ingredients and optional store candidates

8 mapped purchase cards and 5 disabled ingredient references cover all 13 named ingredients. Mapped cards represent 8 unique paint variants. Source-role counts are not purchase quantities. Each selected variant is added once, even if chosen for more than one source ingredient.

1. Indy Blue. No independently supported water-based Indy Blue hue/formulation is established. A similarly named blue or inferred H/C code is not used.
2. Daytona Green. No independently supported water-based Daytona Green formulation is established. An ordinary green name is insufficient to select a specific candidate.
3. Light Blue / Mizu-iro (みず色). This exact Japanese/English named ingredient has no established current store equivalence. Retained as an unselected source reference; no candidate is chosen by name alone.
4. Cobalt Blue. AK11201 Cobalt Blue is explicitly in the metallic range. The source ordinary Cobalt Blue does not establish a metallic effect, so that candidate is rejected.
5. Navy Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Dark Blue AK11181. Dark Blue has a dark navy-blue chart sample. It is a hue-family approximation, distinct from the near-black Midnight Blue candidate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
6. Sky Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Sky Blue AK11175. AK11175 Sky Blue has a light cyan-blue manufacturer-chart and current catalog sample. This is an approximate hue candidate with untested source pigment strength and dried appearance. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
7. Purple. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Purple AK11073. AK11073 has a matching opaque color-family sample in the manufacturer chart and current product photos. 8. Neutral Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. The descriptive Neutral Grey candidate supports a neutral-gray approximation. Its bottle may also serve generic Gray while both ingredient names remain separate. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.

13. Yellow Green. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Interior Yellow Green AK11138. Interior Yellow Green supplies a yellow-green hue approximation. No aircraft-interior standard is assigned to the source. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
