Construction and optional painting

GM Type C combines PS parts, an ABS D runner and PE polycaps. Bandai recommends water-based paint and advises against painting ABS because paint may damage it. The six optional recipes include the weapon sensor: apply Silver as the base, then Clear Green as a separate layer.

The supplied 90 mm machine gun, hyper bazooka, shield and alternative hands support several equipment poses. Use the marking stickers for the unit symbols and numbers. The manual shows attachments for separately sold Action Bases 1 and 2; a display base is optional.

Materials in the parts list: PS: A, B1, B2, C and MP-1E runners; ABS: D runner; PE: PC-123 Plus polycaps.

The original recommends water-based paint and gives named ingredients without numerical H/C product codes. The water-based AK 3GEN store products below are optional approximate candidates, not manufacturer-specified paints or physically verified matches.

6 printed roles use 12 distinct named ingredients. 4 roles contain mixtures; 1 use separate paint layers. Original proportions describe the source paints. Ratios for these substitute pigments are unvalidated starting points: test and adjust a small dried sample. Unquantified additions remain unquantified. Keep undercoats and topcoats separate and let each layer dry.

1. Arms/legs: White 70% + Sail Color 30%. Candidate recipe incomplete: Sail Color has no chosen store match.
2. Chest: Indy Blue 60% + Red 30% + Midnight Blue 10%. Candidate recipe incomplete: Indy Blue has no chosen store match.
3. Chest intakes: Yellow 90% + Orange Yellow 10%.
4. Cockpit hatch: Monza Red 100%. Candidate recipe incomplete: Monza Red has no chosen store match.
5. Weapons: Gray 90% + Black 10%.
6. Weapon sensor: Clear Green 100% over an undercoat of Silver 100%; separate layers, not a 50/50 mixture.

9 mapped purchase cards and 3 disabled ingredient references cover all 12 named ingredients. Mapped cards represent 9 unique paint variants. Source-role counts are not purchase quantities. Each selected variant is added once, even if chosen for more than one source ingredient.

1. White. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic White AK11001. White is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
2. Sail Color. No calibrated hue or named water-based Sail Color candidate is established. Beige, buff and wood-base paints are not silently substituted.
3. Indy Blue. No independently supported water-based Indy Blue hue/formulation is established. A similarly named blue or inferred H/C code is not used.
4. Red. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Matt Red AK11092. Matt Red supplies an opaque red candidate; matte describes the candidate, not a proven source finish. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
5. Midnight Blue. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Strong Dark Blue AK11187. Strong Dark Blue has a very dark, near-black blue chart sample. It is an approximation to the Midnight Blue hue, distinct from Navy Blue; no manufacturer crosswalk is claimed. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
6. Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Yellow AK11044. Yellow is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
7. Orange Yellow. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Golden Yellow AK11041. Golden Yellow supplies a warm yellow-orange approximation, distinct from Orange and Yellow. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
8. Monza Red. No independently supported water-based Monza Red candidate is established. Preserve the source name and any bilingual Monza Red / Red Madder note without inventing code equivalence.
9. Gray. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Neutral Grey AK11018. Neutral Grey is a generic gray approximation; it does not define the distinct named Neutral Gray source as an identical formulation. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
10. Black. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Black AK11029. Black is a named opaque water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: matte.
11. Clear Green. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Clear Green AK11216. Clear Green is a named transparent water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: transparent.
12. Silver. Approximate candidate: 3G Acrylic Silver AK11209. Silver is a named metallic water-based candidate. Exact source formulation and dried appearance are untested. Family: AK 3rd Generation. Finish/effect: metallic.

Optional supplies are recommendations for the tasks described above, not manufacturer-required purchases. The AK 3GEN thinner applies only to the AK 3GEN candidates. Do not paint materials the original warns against painting.
