Scharnhorst was the lead ship of it's class built for the German Navy prior to the outbreak of World War II. She was commissioned in January of 1939, and saw immense action, serving alongside her sibling Gneisenau during most of her career. She met her fate in 1943, where she met her fate at the Battle of the North Cape, sinking on December 26th, of that year. This Flyhawk kit reflects on Scharnhorst as seen in 1943, and represents the Scharnhorst with a very detailed design, and excellent molding!
