The Kriegsmarine Battleship Bismarck was laid down in 1936. She was the most powerful battleship of the Kriegsmarine during WWII. She was as good as any British battleship. Her appearance put the Royal Navy on high alert. Her speed and armament was among the finest in the world at the time. In 1941, the ship was intercepted by the Royal Navy during Operation Rheinübung, where she inevitably met her demise.
