More than half of the losses suffered by the German air service in the Great War were inflicted by French fighter pilots, and nearly half of those are accounted for by the French aces. Noted French aviation historian, David Méchin, has completed extensive research to document the personal stories of these aces in the French Aviation Aces Encyclopedia with photos, text, detailed victory tables and color profiles. These stories are told in-depth for the first time in English, in this landmark set of books. Volume 4 follows the tales of 26 aces from Jean Fraissinet to William Hérisson, and includes Georges Guynemer, the most famous French ace. Book includes 287 photos (25 in color), 48 color profiles, and 254 pages.
