It's our three month anniversary!
By Danielle Adams on 26th Feb 2021
Ahhhhhhh! It's so good to be back to business! We hit weather in the 80's this week and it's feeling like normal again - or as normal as one can feel during a global pandemic.
On that note, we had one unexpected development that happened because of the ice storm. A person delivering a small batch of vaccines to Austin from San Antonio got stuck in our little hometown at the pharmacy within walking distance from our house. The pharmacy lost power and the clock started on those vaccines. A call went out to anyone who could get there before they had to throw them away and we got over there fast. We stood in line in freezing temperatures while the pharmacist mixed each dose and administered shots fast as she could while the sun was going down, but it felt like a miracle and we got vaccinated! Huge sigh of relief for LionHeart Hobby as we should not have to ever shut down now as a result of Covid. Of course, we will continue to stay masked up, and game nights and classes are still a ways off, but it does feel like one step closer to getting back to a true normal.
This week we brought in some pretty big new products that we are excited to share with you. We are expanding our paint line again and for wargamers we have a whole new section in the store. We continue to listen to our customers and what they would like to see, and though we only have so much square space to fit it all in, we amaze even ourselves with how much we are able to stuff between these walls.
We are continuing to work on our e-commerce site. It is a huge project but it's coming along and we are hoping to have it up by the end of April, if not sooner. If you are out of town (or local and staying away because of Covid concerns) it's going to be great! You will be able to shop our entire inventory, have products delivered to your home, or come to the store for a true curbside experience.
Finally, can you believe we've only been open three months?! Thank you again for all your support and love. We mean it when we say that we are so glad to be here and look forward to serving you for a long time.
