News From LionHeart Hobby January 29, 2021
By Danielle Adams on 29th Jan 2021
Next week will mark the two year anniversary of Rudy and Danielle's first date. It's crazy to think how far we've come, and especially where we were as a family a year ago when LionHeart Hobby wasn't even a dream. The initial kernel for the idea probably didn't start until last May when Marc was looking for a way to earn a little extra money in the pandemic and he and Danielle figured out how to start an eBay store. Last summer our home was so filled with boxes and packing materials that we had to buy a second table just to find a place to eat dinner together!
That's when Rudy and Danielle started thinking how cool it would be to open a game store in Kyle. Starting a business has been a dream for a long time in our family and when the opportunity arose to expand our little operation into a larger space, we didn't hesitate for long. When Rudy's job situation changed and we were able to add the model and hobby aspect to the mix, it became a true family business.
It's a lot of work, especially right now, but we have such big ideas for what can be brought to our local community and for long-term growth. This week we signed a contract with BigCommerce and our new website will go under construction starting next week. It's going to be so awesome! We are dreaming of when we can offer classes and game nights. We are laying down plans for the LionHeart Chess Federation in Hays County. If only there were more hours in the day! The pandemic has forced us to move slowly as we make decisions and we recognize that's not a bad thing.
We want to do so much RIGHT NOW but then we remind ourselves that we have only been open for two months and we just marvel in gratitude for you allowing us to dream big.
Thanks for coming along the journey with us.
