Quick update after a very unexpected week...

Last week, Marc was incredibly excited because he had just bought a new bike and couldn't wait to ride it EVERYWHERE. As you can see from the picture above, even the snowstorm did not stop his plan! He took that picture in our neighborhood.

It's still hard for us to wrap our minds around what has happened here in Texas. If you've watched any news this week, there isn't anything new we could tell you about the freezing temperatures and an infrastructure that barely avoided complete collapse. It's frightening how unprepared we were.

With so many people who lost power for DAYS we cannot complain. We lost power for 12 hours before they started regular rolling blackouts and our pipes did not freeze. The store held up in the weather just fine, too.

We have been getting stories from customers and are grateful y'all seem to be okay. This was a scary event but the snow is starting to melt and soon we will hardly even remember the cold we are experiencing today. Again, it's hard to even wrap our minds around it!

We have had massive shipment delays because of the weather so many things we had excitedly announced last newsletter still have not arrived. Of course we are expecting them IMMINENTLY so if there's something you were waiting for, believe us when we say we are on top of it!

In the meantime, our store is open again for business and we hope to see many of you here over the weekend and next week. We are not highlighting any new products this week but trust us when we say there is plenty in the store to help you have fun or get started on that project you've been wanting to do.
