LionHeart Hobby is thrilled to announce our first Paint Workshop event. We are bringing Jim Rice from SABOT Miniatures in for a two day workshop that is so value-packed, we are practically giving it away for free! Normally, a class of this caliber would cost $250-$650 depending on the class size, but as this is the first event of its kind for the LionHeart Community, we have decided to make it incredibly accessible for everyone. We are offering this incredible two full day workshop for only $100!

This is a rare chance to jump into a high level workshop for an incredibly low price and you are not going to want to miss it.

The figure we will be using is the Medieval Soldier produced by SABOT Miniatures in 1/10 scale. It is an original sculpt that has been specifically created for this workshop. It offers a lot of opportunity to explore painting different elements commonly found in miniatures.

When:

Saturday, April 1st - Sunday April 2nd

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days (Class will start on time! Please arrive a little early!)

Where:

Central Texas VSO Alliance - 100 Houston St., Buda

Who:

Registration is limited to 15 attendees. The theme of the seminar will revolve primarily around face painting.

What:

Saturday will focus on laying down a basic face. The purpose of Sunday will be to use various texture techniques to take the face to that next level. The first day of the workshop is geared for painters of all levels where the second day may appeal more to the intermediate and advanced painters. You will work through a verdaccio undercoat for the face, purposefully applying facial texture and blemishes and working with inks and pastels.

This will be a relatively intense 2-days of painting. We ask that you please plan accordingly by being on time and ready to go when the workshop begins. Please do not be late. Food concessions will be available for purchase throughout the day, and Jim will keep himself available through the entire day, including during any breaks.

The fee  for the class includes both days.

What is included:

Original prepped, mounted and primed figure
All paints, mediums, etc
Step-by-Step Handout which you will receive via email prior to the workshop

What you need to bring:

Your favorite brushes. Jim recommends several good quality brushes: Size 0,1,2,3 a soft size 0 utility brush, and a larger utility brush

Your favorite palette. Jim recommends a wet palette

Any optivisor as needed. Desk lights are provided, but if you have a preferred light you are welcome to bring it.

A small hair dryer can  be helpful.

Most of all, bring your enthusiasm and inspiration for some hardcore painting!

Supplies will be available for purchase at the workshop.
